The KRG will Increase Youth Loans

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will continue to provide loans to the unemployed youths. The government has already spent 84% of 25 billion Iraqi dinars budget, and the press official of the Ministry of Social Affairs (MSA) of the KRG Mr. Abas Akram stated that they have requested additional budget for this project. Mr. Akram indicated that around 1800 youths have benefited from this project and used the loans for personal projects. He stated that the government apportioned 25 billion Iraqi dinars in 2011, and 21 billion have already been spent. Mr. Akram also said that MSA has requested the government…

Last month, Iraq’s vice-president, Tariq al-Hashimi, denied charges of terrorism after the country’s top court issued a warrant for his arrest. Sultan Kösen, the 29-year-old Turkish man from the southeastern province of Mardin who was officially recognized as the world's tallest man in Guinness World Records 2010, has continued to grow despite receiving treatment to inhibit any further growth.   Guinness officials recently visited Kösen at his home in the village of Dede, located in the district of Derik in Batman province, in preparation for Guinness World Records 2012. When Kösen was measured, they found that he had grown by another four centimeters, bringing his height to 251 centimeters.
